Election Data Below the Constituency Level
Guide to datasets compiling election results at levels below the electoral constituency/district (i.e., the level at which seats are distributed). Currently, only Western countries are included, and the time period is typically the last decade or two. Results are reported at varying geographic levels by country, but often at the level of the voting precinct.

Note: These annotated guides were prepared to help Princeton University students and faculty. While I hope the guides will be of use to everyone, many of the links are to proprietary datasets and resources provided by the Princeton University Library and restricted to members of the Princeton University community.

 

Jeremy Darrington is the Politics Librarian at the Princeton University Library. He has a BA in international studies from Brigham Young University and graduate degrees in library and information science from the University of Washington and in political science from UC Berkeley. Jeremy is a past chair of the Politics, Policy, and International Relations Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) and is involved in international associations for data services professionals. Jeremy is the recipient of the Marta Lange/SAGE-CQ Press Award for “distinguished contributions to librarianship in political science” (2020). He is also the Political Science Editor for Resources for College Libraries, an online database of core print and electronic resources for academic libraries. His interests include political science data sources, European politics, information and technology policy, and government information. Jeremy is happily married and the proud father of four children.

Jeremy helps students and faculty find data and resources for their research. He also purchases resources for the Library in all areas related to political science.
