About Me

Thank you for visiting my website. Before you leaf through its pages, here is a bit about myself.

I teach at Ashoka University (near Delhi), where I am assistant professor in political science and legal studies. I have a PhD in politics from Princeton University, in addition to degrees from National Law School Bangalore and Harvard University.

My biography of the Indian prime minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao, has been published by Penguin Random House in English and Emesco Books in Telugu. It is also being published in Hindi, Tamil, and Marathi. The book will be published in the United States as part of the South Asia series of Oxford University Press (USA) in late 2017.

If you want to know more about the book, read the Narasimha Rao Biography section of this website, or contact me via email.

My doctoral dissertation at Princeton was titled 'After Judgment Day: Under What Conditions Are Court Decisions Implemented?' It was shaped by my intellectual and methodological dispositions -- of a lawyer, journalist, and political scientist. You can read about it on the PhD Dissertation page of this website.
