Wei is a fourth year PhD student in the Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy (STEP) program at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton University.
Her research focuses on renewable energy use in China. She is conducting an integrated assessment with Prof. Denise Mauzerall to quantify the air quality benefits from wind power penetration in China. She is also interested in the economic and political factors that play a role in forming China's renewable energy policy.
Before coming to Princeton, she received her bachelors degree in Environmental Science at Peking University, China. Her undergraduate research was on the acute health benefits for children from air quality improvement during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
