Abstract:

A single crystal of a high-temp. superconductor of the formula MBa2Cu3O7-x, where M = Y, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, or Yb and x = 0.1-1.0, is prepd. by forming a starting powder by combustion spray pyrolysis, then growth of a crystal on a settling powder of the compn.
