I am a doctoral candidate in Princeton University's Department of History and a Consortium Fellow at the McNeil Center for Early American Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. My scholarly research includes 18th and 19th century America, African-American History, Southern Legal Culture, and Atlantic Slavery. My research has been supported by the Princeton University Center for African American Studies, the Program in American Studies, and the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Swarthmore College and a Master of Arts in African New World Studies from Florida International University. I will complete my Ph.D. in May 2015.
