Welcome to my webpage.

I am a lecturer at University College Cork and was a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University. I work primarily on moral philosophy, both theoretical and applied to climate change policy. You can find out more about me by going to my biography or my CV. My publications can be found here.*

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, I co-authored a piece discussing climate policy in this time [co-authored with the moral philosopher Peter Singer]. I expanded that argument for an academic and policy audience for the journal Climate Policy.

I was quoted by the Wall Street Journal for an article [paywalled] on financial literacy. I was also a feaured American Philosophical Association member in July here as well as interviewed from when I visited the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis here.

My favorite food is lemon sorbet.

*Several of my publications are available open access through funding from the Austrian Science Foundation under grant W 1256-G15 (Doctoral Programme Climate Change – Uncertainties, Thresholds and Coping Strategies).
