The focus of the course was controversies in contemporary consequentialism, including whether consequentialism fails because of cluelessness about outcomes; the importance of effective altruism; and consequentialist ideas applied to diet and job searches. The class comprised undergraduates and MA students at multiple levels. I was given a course title and allowed free rein over the content, grading and style. I developed the course, the syllabus as well as all of the graded all of the writing.
