Publications and Copyright

As part of the Terms of Use Agreement with creating an OpenScholar site, you can not post full or partial articles of publications if you do not own the copyright to the article (even if you are the author). Some publishing companies allow PhD and graduate students to post full articles before publication but once the article is published, the copyright is solely owned by the publisher. If the article is not taken down by the site owner, we have the right to take the article down since it violates Terms of Use for OpenScholar. Please check with the publisher if you're not sure if you own the rights to an article before publishing it on your OpenScholar site.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at openscholar@princeton.edu
