This week, we welcomed a new post-doctoral fellow to the Ploss Lab, Dr. Tomo Tamura! Tomo comes from Osaka University in Japan, where he was researching hepatitis C virus. He previously completed his dissertation work at Hokkaido University of Veterinarian Sciences focusing on pestiviruses. Tomo is interested in using humanized mice as models to study the relationship between immunological profiles and viral host specificity. We are very excited to welcome Tomo to our lab!
